lists
I am always making lists.
Things I am thankful for,
things to do,
things to draw,
garden plans,
every Christmas gift I have ever gotten,
what I ate,
where I would like to go,
things to look up,
things to make,
things to make lists of....
I have been doing this forever.
My daughter tells me obsessive list making is a sign of ADHD.
Probably.
Especially if you rewrite the same list over and over.
I do
I am not making light of anyone with ADHD. And I have never been diagnosed, but living with autism I can now see traits from Autism, Aspergers, PPD-NOS, ADD, OCD, ETC. in myself and almost everyone around me. I guess what makes the difference is how many of these traits we each have. and how well we can function with these traits.
I think I have just enough ... not too many, not too few.
I mean, aren't you a fan of the quirky personality?
So anyway, I have been lately posting more than just art, i am enjoying thinking of posts to do taht aren't just paintings but whatever i am thinking about...
Posts in a series...
posts just about color....

a photographed list,
or rather a list in pictures,

nothing too quirky to start with.

Walking stick
One of our hobbies started last year, along with my carving birds was originally to make walking sticks. The first one my husband and i worked together on. It was for my Dad for Christmas. I can show the photos now that we have given it to him. I carved the rattle snake, then my husband deepened it with a dremel tool. We stained it 4 colors and then i woodburned the scales and painted the eyes. my husband carved out a spot for two arrowheads at the top and we added a purchased leather pouch.
Since one of our goals is to hike weekly when the weather gets better, we have a few more to make for ourselves and our kids.

4 things that make me happy
1. There are finally signs of spring in my yard...
I looked these up...
they are called Glory of the snow....
2. I have been obsessively re-reading all my Alice Hoffman books... I have about 11 or 12 and she's written so many more that it makes me happy knowing I have plenty more to look forward to...
3. I have been even more obsessively watching these...
My older son talked me into watching the first episode, I didn't want to. I had heard about it everywhere and didn't want to watch it for some reason... maybe because everyone else liked it.
But one episode and you are hooked...
He got me these for an early mothers day gift. I am now only at the beginning of season three so no spoilers please. I am in love with Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister so if they die do NOT tell me...
And the season sets each come with a map... don't you just love the opening credits with the maps and gears?
4. I got this sooo cute and wonderfully filled May basket from my MOM for May day. I am enjoying it bit by bit. It was arranged better before the photo, I have rooted around in it now and smelled all the pretty smelling soaps and such...Thanks Mom!
