 I love cemetaries

not just in october...

always.

They are quiet, peaceful, still...

The best way to get away into nature, almost alone while still being in town.

I love the patterns on the worn stone,

I love imagining the lives lived,

and feeling sad for the lives lost too young...

 I had planned a different post for today but the leaves and fall colors this week were just too pretty not to take photos of. I have also been working on the Bee Queen's message (Go here or  here for other posts about what I mean). I am even to the point of starting to use BLURB to publish it, but as I do that I am having to go back and do some new art. Here's some pieces...

 above is  the piece that will become a doll (using spoonflower) to go along with the story...

 You'll just have to wait to see it all and hear the queen message....

mandala in pieces

I made this watercolor mandala awhile ago... for some reason I didn't like it much and thought I would like it better if it was cut up in pieces...

not sure that is true but I cut it anyway, and since, have cut it even smaller still.

Not sure what I plan to do with the pieces,

but if I ever figure it out I will certainly show you....

Actually I started these birds months ago, and now finished them all at the same time. I saw all because i mean last weeks cardinal and a cedar wax wing that I don't seem to have a photo of yet to show you, along with the two this week...
So i made 4 all together with the circles or hearts behind them...
maybe I will make up a postcard set of them...
and after that I painted a fantasy bird that I finished a week or so ago as well, and I may have a video of making him that i could put together if i get around to it... but that's another week....
