Sketching and reading

This is from my idea sketchbook this week... Future paintings are started here and I did a type of zentangles, but I need to check out more of their blog... Sorry for the poor quality photos as my house is so dark it's hard to get a good pic...
This is what I'm reading but as I'm sure something incredibly horrifying is to be revealed soon or at the end, and I'm just not sure I'm up to reading whatever it is, I've put the book aside for weeks. If anyone has read it let me know a reason to keep reading it, as I hate not to finish a book I've started....

  1. Love the first sketch, I hope you work it up into a painting.

  2. Lovely drawings! I'd like to try one of those zentangle things, they look fun! I know what you mean about drawing your falling ladies. I tend to draw my ladies with their arms outstretched and I've no idea why! Not so long ago they all had their eyes closed too. At least my latest ones are awake!xx

  3. The book is amazing but it does have a dark ending so if you're at down, I reccommend waiting until you think you can handle it. I personally tend to internalize everything I read, so I have to be careful what I choose :) I just finished "A Discovery of Witches" which was the best book I've read all year. In fact your drawing made me think think of a scene from it with the wrappings of ribbons and all.....I LOVE your drawing btw!

  4. I say... life is too short to finish a book you don't like and eat bad food. :)

Love your drawings. This is only the second time I've heard of these zetangles. It seems like something I'd like... it seems very therapeutic in a way.

I'm so glad you commented today on my blog, of course there is room for you! In fact we are still in need of 5 more sisters that is unless you are willing to do it then we'll only need 4! Please let me know if you indeed do want to participate... we would love to have you!
