Day 6 Inktober and 6 good things

1. I love the moment when the ink hits the watercolor and it blooms into the color.... you can see a video of it here

2. Got to spend some time with my Mom yesterday... beautifully sunny and hiking in the woods.

3. Inukshuks

4. The beginning of an installation...

5. The movie, 'About time' starring Domnhall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams. Just watched it and loved it, every actor was perfect in it. Makes you feel good!
Spoiler alert for my Mom's sake: there's a happy ending so you don't need to worry that something truly terrible is about to happen like I did. A few sad things but nothing disturbingly bad in the end.

6. Cuteness abounds in the world...

    1. Then you will love this movie... I like to rewatch movies as you can notice the smaller details like expressions and things when you watch it more than once, and this is the perfect movie for that!

  5. Where to begin? Autumn. . . wow do I miss the colors. More so every year. We've been looking at homes for sale in NH and VT for fun on the internet. . . affordable, charming small towns and the gorgeous architecture of those old farmhouses and yes, *sigh*, the autumn colors.

Cuteness! Yes, it abounds and I make a definite effort to find it, appreciate it and linger close to it each day. :) Cat's help, that's for certain. lol This summer we made a feeder tray out our second floor windows for the red finches and crown sparrows to feed from. Having them perched right there out the window is a blessing. The first to find it were skittish around the window but, over the summer, some 2 or 3 clutches (?) later, they have no fear of us up here and will sit there on the other side of the window eating and feeding their young with only a passing concern us huge "trolls" and their furry black cat that lurks on the other side of the glass. :)

I love the mix of ink and watercolor! A really unusual and cool effect where they meet. . . that's exciting. :)

Glad you got to spend time with your mom and hoping your weekend is wonderful!

    1. The town I live in, in NY has the lowest property costs in the all of NY I believe...I will message you about that. ... Also autumn is always beautiful but this year seems a little less brilliant than other years, must be something about the weather. More yellowish brown and less red. Still wonderful of course. I would love to be able to see birds in that way...on our vacation the hummingbird feeder was in front of the window so we saw them regularly and I loved it!
