IF disguise

I did this painting a year ago but thought I'd share it for this theme at Illustration friday! I actually did a whole series of masks on my ladies, standing in front of mirrors and such but I'm not as proud of them anymore as my style's changed a bit, they were done when I just started painting again.  well anyway here they are, with their alter egos shining through...

IF Imperfect

The theme this week is imperfect @ Illustration Friday.  I haven't posted in a while for IF but this week's theme seemed "perfect" for this painting of mine I was just putting on Etsy. These woman are happy with themselves, they may not all be ready for the swimsuit ads but they just don't care. They're having fun and enjoying the fall this week, big hips or tiny, no matter.

Illustration Friday... Stay

She's hoping these birds will STAY as they make her sooo happy. A wonderful afternoon spent watching them take  flight together! Magical!

I missed many weeks of IF with some great themes but I decided to finish this for this week. Hope you like it!

IF Soaked

This is a painting I started some time ago but never finished. I had already done the rain so when IF's theme was "soaked" I decided to finish it. I honestly don't remember my exact thoughts about why I started it, but I suppose it's a bit self explanatory... You can come up with your own ideas about it.

IF Safari

You don't think they look like they're on a safari? Really? Well, they're out there in the wild, building a bonfire to keep the wild animals at bay. Really, they are!

IF... Lesson

The lesson to be learned from this little ACEO (2.5x3.5) watercolor is...

 to be aware of wonder! Find the joy in the simple little things in life, the books, the hugs, the bubbles in the sink, the spring flowers and the squishy mud!

IF, bicycle

So this little one line sketch is a unicycle, not a bicycle but hey it's close. I threw in the other little sketch I did yesterday too. A bit of a change from my watercolors, just for IF!

IF... Journey

This little baby is on his first journey ever, who knows where he might end up...

I did the watercolor three years ago, but since my painting has changed ALOT in the last 3 years I wasn't going to post it so I did a quick sketch today for this challenge. Not a great photo of it though. But, I decided to show you both... and maybe even add it to "sunday sketches" tomorow too...
