My process for my found poems is just this:
My son, Jace, ripped apart an old book... Zane Grey. So I decided to use it for the poems. I randomly rip out one page and limit myself to only the words on that page, just one side. No flipping. Cut them out, glue them down using a glue stick and tweezers. A quick and fun way to fill a page in my sketchbook. It is almost like fortune telling.... you don’t know what you have to say about your life or your day until you are limited to 100 words on a page. Plus I think the vintage book factor makes it more fun.
On top of sketching daily I have also been taking a photo a day.....
Wonderful journal pages! I did something similar with words when I did the thirty day challenge. I love creating that way because it's always an intuitive surprise! Great job!

DeleteBeautiful pages, wow! That ficus bonsai one is my fave! Also, hooray for found word poetry! I did some a while back from an old Shakespeare play, which was fun. Great idea to limit yourself to one page and see what you can come up with!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
Deleteyou are doing great with your sketching and I really like the found poem idea and limiting yourself yo 100 words to do it :) and really nice snow photos:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I appreciate your kind words!
DeleteYou're so talented at forming poems out of cut out words. Thanks for sharing a peek inside your sketchbook. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, they are fun and easy to do!
DeleteLove the sketches Andrea! I started sketching yesterday!!! We'll see. . .
ReplyDeleteThe found poem is beautiful... what a wonderful idea. thanks for sharing how it came about too!
The pictures are soooo winter dreamy. . . and the dog, Something in his/her posturing in that photo. . . I am reminded of when I had a Siberian Husky who, of course, adored the snow. Once I was told by her/my trainer, "if you had 100 fenced acres and you let her loose in that setting, you would always find her at the corner of that property looking to go further." lol
Oh, yeah. I hope you share your sketches!!!!!!
DeleteAnd yes, the poems have been fun, never know what will come about!
And Kodah: yes. He is so independent.... good and bad. He would (and does) run off whenever the door is opened and he can see freedom. He can be so frustrating, but he is also protective of his yard and sooo pretty!
