Quilting with chocolate

Heven't been painting much lately, nothing new to show, but i have been quilting. Something about the season makes me want to snuggle up and work with fabric.... And chocolate. So in my spare time, i have been eatting dark chocolate, listening to this on audible, and working on my "phantasmagoria" quilt. (Very slow going) but beautiful, to me at least. It could be too "busy" for most people's tastes i guess, and i worry there is not enough contrast, but who cares? I am having fun with it!

word of the year, pale muses

I painted up 3 small, really small canvases for fun. They are only 2.5" by 2.5", so these photos are larger than real life. Which made them a quick and harmless project to do. On two I put one word, could be someone's word for the year. I still don't know what my word will be, or if I will have one, but it was fun to look at the muses once they had been painted, and try to imagine what their word for the year would be....

I have made up business cards at moo before but I am loving their new square cards. I made up a set of my mandalas into meditation cards... can't wait to show you...

so here is an example of what i did to a few of my mandalas in photoshop.....
then when they are printed up I will put 10 different cards in a handmade pouch to list on etsy.
The other reason Moo was good for this is you can have as many different designs on one side as you want, the backs are all the same though... perfect for meditation cards, business cards etc.

5 things from last week

This week we have been sick with colds but last week I managed some watercoloring painting and other stuff....
1. i want to make this paperweight with my mandalas...
2. I laughed at this video, and actually any of Ellen's videos, especially with Melissa McCarthy....
3. So surprised this instalation is made with tape.....
4.and fell in love with this artist's pieces that are a mix of fiber, crochet and paint
5. And I finished something!!!!....my coloring book, "Unruly Flowers" is ready on Blurb.com. it's 6X9 inch and 24 pages but as they are one sided images it contains 10 different wildflower scenes. You can see it or purchase it by clicking on the image to the right. Finally.
