5 things from last week

This week we have been sick with colds but last week I managed some watercoloring painting and other stuff....
1. i want to make this paperweight with my mandalas...
2. I laughed at this video, and actually any of Ellen's videos, especially with Melissa McCarthy....
3. So surprised this instalation is made with tape.....
4.and fell in love with this artist's pieces that are a mix of fiber, crochet and paint
5. And I finished something!!!!....my coloring book, "Unruly Flowers" is ready on Blurb.com. it's 6X9 inch and 24 pages but as they are one sided images it contains 10 different wildflower scenes. You can see it or purchase it by clicking on the image to the right. Finally.

creating a custom order

 

I have been painting this mandala for a special order, to try to match a previously sold one.... not sure I succeeded in making it a companion piece, but I am happy with it anyway...I have been taking photos of my mandalas when the lines are done before I paint, so that I can make up a mandala coloring book once I get a few more. I hope to offer it digitally on etsy then. we'll see....

summer of color

here's my last mandala inspired by the summer of color icecream choice, which was watermelon this week.....

Since I've been making the mandalas kind of backward lately, by doing the lines first, I thought I might make them into a digital coloring book or something for my etsy shop.   So they could be downloaded and people could color them in with pens, colored pencils or watercolors. Just a thought....
