I am out of rocks
The art in my sketchbook stinks
Back to the canvas
Update: i was going to leave this post just like that then felt it sounded too depressing.... Not depressed just rushed. Posting daily is harder than it should be, lots of court appearances at work and doing a new diet..... All vegan!, which is working so that's good, just time consuming mentally too.
So , i will see all of you from paint party friday and haiku my heart later after work.... Have a great weekend. I think i may skip the daily posting for a bit, no point in posting nothingness, but i do have questions to answer. I had been asking bloggers to ask me a question to answer in a post, so if anyone has a question i will possibly get to it soon along with the other questions. Do I sound like a mess? I feel unorganized is all. Again.... Have a great weekened!
You don't sound a mess, just normal. Smashing WIP and enjoy the weekend. Happy PPF, Annette x
ReplyDeleteNo questions, just a compliment. Your mushrooms are delightful.
ReplyDeleteThought the words went perfectly with the snapshot...made me smile :D XXX
ReplyDelete:S just read that last comment back and thought it sounded like I thought your work stinks lol...you know I didn't mean that right? :D XXX
ReplyDeleteYep! Your comments are always extremely generous!
DeleteI love that peek at that piece. My question is - When are you going to be our Featured Artist on PPF? ;)
ReplyDeleteLife is busy! Can't wait to see the rest of this painting!
ReplyDeleteLife can go along so easily and then turn to total chaos in a split second. It always seems to even out. Lovely mushrooms - go with the flow and all will be well. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteThe mushroom painting is lovely. Sounds like you need a vacation. Hope one is in the offering soon. My granddaughter went vegan before settling into vegetarian-sometimes vegan. Trying to cook for her then was a pain in the ****. Cooking or even being vegetarian is so easy in comparison. I don't need meat myself, but the rest of the house wants it.
ReplyDeletei love the colors you used for your mushroom painting. green and purple light tones... calming. and actually so vegan! lol! i am trying to change into vegan diet, too... alpha shanahan#26
ReplyDeleteLove your mushrooms, so plump and cute! HPPF!
ReplyDeleteaw... the mushrooms are adorable! wishing you a restorative weekend!
ReplyDeleteAh ~ we all get like that ~ it will pass ~ you do lovely work ~ (A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteAww...the mushroom painting is lovely. Naw, no worries...every artists goes through a rough and rushed patch. I still struggle with even doing weekly postings, so as they say, "Keep calm and Art on". Maybe a good relaxing vacation is in order...maybe somewhere warm and sandy. Wishing you a lovely weekend. <3
ReplyDeleteWhen things get stinky, it's time to start over for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteInstead of Poppies
It doesn't sound like you are all over the place... unless that means I am also a bit all over the place... who am I kidding I am always unorganised ... hope the weekend brings a little order... not too much but enough that you get back to your positive self...xx
ReplyDeleteI've slowly been switching over to vegan and it does take thought when you are changing things up that much from what you're used to. You're just busy. short and sweet is nice. And the mushrooms are sweet. ;)
ReplyDeleteNice canvas ~ I found that the trick is pacing...you need to pace yourself to a schedule that you are creative and can share something new ~ I can't post everyday, it will exhaust me ~ wishing you happy and productive weekend ~
ReplyDeleteYou don't sound a mess to me, you sound like something is shifting and changing, and you are right in that place between... and if you are eating vegan (I am just now two months eating 80% raw) then things are REALLY shifting and a changing and more than what is in your sketchbook! I love that you can post right where you are now. And, I would like to take a nap under one of those mushrooms, I really would...
ReplyDeleteI like the graphic quality of your painting. Looks like you need a break. maybe the vegan diet isn't for you. My dad tried vegan for about 6 months then quit because he always lacked energy to do things! :^) Patsy from

Awe...poor you!! You are always wonderful and everything you post is amazing even if you don't think so!! You could have left that small blurb we already know your character!!I think you are way too hard on yourself!! Glad the vegan diet is working...hope you talk about it more!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
Funny how we create something from what we see as nothing. This needed no explanation. I think you just wanted to talk to us, (and there's nothing at all wrong with that). Love your art, on rocks or canvas. I have some amazing things that happened 'diet-wise' that you might find very interesting. We'll talk soon.
ReplyDeletePeace
I am digging the little corner of the mushroom painting.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about feeling rushed and disorganized. If organization helps your creativity, then feeling like things have gotten away from you is brutal. Hopefully things will ease up a bit and allow you to spend your mental energy on your art.
I know exactly how you feel.. heck, you described it in a comment on my blog yesterday! It was exactly that: exhausted after weeks of stress... then I spend an afternoon on the couch (watching 'little house on the prairie' - can you believe that?!) and I feel much better now.. pfew! I hope you will have a relaxed weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love your mushrooms and haiku!
ReplyDeleteYour canvas is great, I love mushrooms.
ReplyDeleteVery earthy painting! Lively colors and style! Dieting/ change makes one grouchy...once your body adjusts you'll feel better overall.
ReplyDeleteA picture's worth a thousand words, and your WIP is wonderful!

ReplyDeletei hope your weekend will be smooth sailing on peaceful reflective waters.
thanks for being here with us a haiku my heart. you give so generously of yourself.
you are appreciated!
Vegan is tough. Congrats on sticking to it. :) Love your mushrooms. :)
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about being dis-organized is that you are always discovering new things...not saying you are disorganized like I am...I just think you have so many ideas and so little time to yourself. You are amazing Andrea♥

I don't think the artwork stinks at all! it is just a dark photo:) They have such lovely stripey patterns. And good luck with vegan- i have been vegetarian for a long time...but vegan seems to hard (i am afraid it will ruin my coffee!!). One day I might manage it. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteLUV LUV your mushrooms. Good luck with the diet !1 That's a tough one :0)
ReplyDeleteWow, posting daily - that is quite an endeavor! How do you do that? (is that my question? Perhaps.) The mushrooms look great!
ReplyDeleteI love the mushrooms! So lush looking. Great shapes. Love your prose under the painting, too. I hope your world stops twirling too fast for you!
ReplyDeleteYum, the mushrooms are gorgeous. A recipe to go with them, per-haps :) Blessings, Janet PPF
