Here's the video I made for you and tried to post last week....there's a few spots I'd like to fix but it's done so I'm leaving it as is, it's a learning experience, this movie making.....
If we own a place,
Does it own us in return?
Our stardust remains.
My deep thought for the moment.....
So this week, i drove over the bridge, and looked over to "my spot" on the river, and i started wondering why i feel as if it now belongs to me, and if it does belong to me will there be anything left of me there when i am gone? Does a part of us linger in a spot we have spent time at? I love an old home that's been lived in , old books well worn, old loved dolls, and i am drawn to the cemetaries.... is it the remnant of other lives left behind?
Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, yet are experienced as occurring together in a meaningful manner. The concept of synchronicity was first described in this terminology by Carl Gustav Jung, a Swiss psychologist, in the 1920s.
Contrast of hard rock
against white lace, old and soft...
Synchronicity.
I am linking to Haiku my heart, Artists Play room as my word was lace, and Paint party friday. Have a great week everyone!
Wonderfully thought provoking haiku! Thank you! Cathy
ReplyDeletei Love coming here today!
ReplyDeletewhat a great video,
ms falling lady,

nice touch

{{ i paint my white rocks
with black ink
so

I'm at work so couldn't watch the video but I enjoyed the rest of your post. I think that the universe is all totally connected to us and all other life forms and we do stay around in some shape or form once we've stopped being alive - plus I intend to get my ashes scattered in my favourite place so I'll be floating in the wind there for a while anyway! I love your white lace on stones - so delicate and pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh Andrea, such a lovely video! It's great to see you working, and that music is so nice and fits really well with the images. Love your new "lace"-stones as well. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe video is like a prayer.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this whole, entire post!!!
As for your deep haiku...
I believe a place owns us...much more than
the opposite.
Much the same as our children own us...
doncha think???
Anyway, your rocks are pure beauty
a reflection of your soul.
Love to you Andrea♥
PS: I ♥ your jewelry.
Love the idea of synchronicity and the way you capture it with your lovely rock paintings!!

This is all so lovely Andrea... your haiku, musings, and your lovely video... yes, I do think places own us, more than we realize... I know that our home picked us to live here... these rocks and feathers call to you and you listen and spin magic in your lines that grace their surface and is a gift for us to enjoy, as we mingle star dust now, and to come... thank you so...

ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful thought provoking post.
ReplyDeleteThe rocks are so beautiful ~ you must have so much patience to paint these exquisite detailed patterns.
The lace just adds the finishing touch. I love it!
Fantastic video...you are so talented. :D
The video is beautiful, very inspirational. Those rocks are gorgeous, you are so clever. I love them.
ReplyDeleteVon.
I believe that part of us does linger on in places we loved and lived--It's a lovely thought--
ReplyDeleteThese rocks are amazing! I can't imagine how hard it is to draw such detail on a rough rock!
I liked the video. You are very creative with your pairings on the rocks. The old and new concept, cemeteries. I see you drawn there to speak with the spirits. You wonder about their lives and create new episodes of your own life through them. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if "your" place on the river was someone else's place in another time. Is that syncronicity?
ReplyDeletePeace
Wow...Andrea, you in in a beautiful place right now. Love to see you shining softly and brightly.
ReplyDeleteLight and love !
What a lovely video and I've always been gobsmacked by your rock art. :)
