Finding more small magic

I have another video for you that I made,  there's a mandala in flowers and  a little bit of me painting a self portrait, although I will say it looks more like me when I was younger and thinner than it does  now. My eyes are too big here, and my  hair in this is black instead of brown,  but I guess that's the way I saw myself when I looked in the rear view mirror to paint it. I don't show painting the whole thing as it was too hard to hold the camera and paint in the car! But it's only a few minutes long so please watch it!

I do see myself
Without wrinkles and still thin
Mirrors tell small tales

Pieces of ourselves
Shared on fridays with others
Pieces of my heart

Happy paint party friday and haiku my heart!

Small magic in a white feather

Here's the video I made for you and tried to post last week....there's a few spots I'd like to fix but it's done so I'm leaving it as is, it's a learning experience, this movie making.....

If we own a place,
Does it own us in return?
Our stardust remains.

My deep thought for the moment.....

So this week, i drove over the bridge, and looked over to "my spot" on the river, and i started wondering why i feel as if it now belongs to me, and if it does belong to me will there be anything left of me there when i am gone? Does a part of us linger in a spot we have spent time at? I love an old home that's been lived in , old books well worn, old loved dolls, and i am drawn to the cemetaries.... is it the remnant of other lives left behind?

Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, yet are experienced as occurring together in a meaningful manner. The concept of synchronicity was first described in this terminology by Carl Gustav Jung, a Swiss psychologist, in the 1920s.

Contrast of hard rock
against white lace, old and soft...
Synchronicity.

I am linking to Haiku my heart, Artists Play room as my word was lace, and Paint party friday. Have a great week everyone!

Calm

IMG_0068.MOV a video by lelloavengers on Flickr.

I love snow globes, I have a whole slew of them on my desk at work, I keep them there so they don't get broke here at home.

So take one minute and watch the snow settle, it'll just make you feel better!

About a week ago the foothills here where I live looked more like we were living in a snow globe........., some giant had picked us up, turned our little world over and dipped the top of our hills into powdered sugar, wish I'd had my camera then, it was so pretty.

And that day I heard a song on the radio I'd never heard before.... "Wish that I could live in a snow globe"!

Did you watch the video? Go do it! It's 1 minute of your life...

Linking to share the joy! Here...
