Still lounging

Still not up for much since the surgery... I was supposed to be back to work by now but that's just not possible, still on the couch most of the time.... Here is a quick sketch i did manage...

And a list for aimee over at artsyville... A reverse bucket list... The list of done that, checked it off....it's not an extremely exciting list, no jumping off cliffs or hang-gliding but it works for me....

*Married a man i love...
*had 5 children...
*Bought an old house i love...
*do art regularly....
*work at a job that sometimes at least feels worth it....
*left the job that didn't feel worth it years ago...
*lost 16 pounds recently...
*had an art show, well, two small ones but they count...
*painted a pallet for Hammondsport and got invited back a second year...
*have my art in a gallery....
*opened an etsy shop...
*testified in court for work....
*stopped biting my nails years ago, (ok, so now i twist my hair, big deal)...
*learned to be HAPPY!...( not insanely but comfortably!)


Edit: after reading some lists i thought of so many more things i just had to add...

Rode an elephant
Went on a whale watch
Was within touching distance of the Queen
Was published in a magazine

List it tuesday

Over at Aimee's the list of the week is "what I love about where I live".... here's my list and some photos too...

List it tuesday has started back up and since I am obsessed with writing lists I thought I would make some of my lists prettier than usual and join in,... this weeks list theme is creative things you can do in 15 minutes or less... i filled 2 pages in my sketchbook with this list.... But i realized as i did this that it is not so perfectly easy to make a beautiful list... It's harder than i thought it would be to make it aesthetically pleasing without putting a lot of thought and  planning into it, some people just do it so well with their lettering that it seems effortless... Something to work on.... The color choices and the lettering.... I realize it could just be a plain written list but i wanted it to be "pretty" too... We'll see how i do next week....
