My world is drying out a bit,
shriveling up to settle in for the cold
we had snow last week,
it was beautiful driving up the gulch road with rock cliffs or steep hills on each side,
lined with the feathery dried goldenrod and the red sumac all covered in white puffs,
sorry no photos of that, but plenty of these shades of brown I love.....
like caramelized sugar,
or the seafoam candy my grandma used used to make....
I may have to check the crayon box for names for brown...
"desert sand, Maize, tumbleweed"
like unbleached linen,
toasted marshmallows not burnt,
or just plain 'ole tan!
And I am trying to be a good blogger and tie my art into the rest of these photos so here's some pages from my sketch book....
