I wasn't going to join any new challenges this year, i was just going to FOCUS on what i wanted to do. That was to be my word of the year. I didn't make any resolutions but on my birthday, which was last movember, i did make a list of 50 things i wanted to do beore i turned 50, (this November). One thing on the list was read 50 books, i have already finished 13 or so..... So when i saw this challenge i decided to join in, (late and all) because it was what i planned to do anyway. The challenge is to read a book a month and make a piece of art, any kind, related to it in some way.
So i am behind, as others have already posted there first review of their book and art to go along with it on friday, but here 's my stack of 12 books i plan to read. I just picked 12 off my shelf that i hadn't read yet.... So by friday i will have finished the one i started last week, a short one, and have a post on it.
Here's the link to the club...

hi there. Welcome to the Reading Club, that looks like a great stack of books.
ReplyDeleteI can only have one live linky at a time, so the linky for the 'show us your books' post is closed now, as the new linky 'show us your 1st review and art' has gone live.
The new linky will be available to link into until the last Friday in Feb, as that is when the next linky will go live and the present one will close.... hope that makes sense.
Are you on FB, we have a group there. mainly for chatting and getting to know each other etc.

ReplyDeleteYay so glad to see a sistah in the group :-) I have only read Discovery of Witches out of your list so am looking forward to your reviews and art :-)
ReplyDeleteHey there, so nice to have you on board - what a great choice of books. I shall be looking forward to your reviews. 'Saving Fish from Drowning' sounds very intriguing and I've always wondered what 'A Year in Provence' would be like. I'm really into the fantasy genre and it looks like you have a couple of those in there too :)
ReplyDeleteSo great you're joining in. :) It will be fun to see what art you come up with.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the amazing art you create for this project :D Welcome aboard the Crazy train Andrea :D XXX
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing your art and review. Love the picture of the falling lady at the top. It makes me think of Chagall's beautiful floating lovers.
ReplyDeleteWell that's a great idea...will be interesting to see how each person interprets the book.
ReplyDeleteYay, welcome! Looking forward to your reviews but also very much to your Art. I really love the falling lady on top! ♥

ReplyDeleteHappy Reading, Awesome One !
That's a good idea to make a piece of art associated with the book you have just read - I will try that, thank you.
