This week

Hello, Thank you for all the great comments last week, especially since I barely got around to anyone else's posts... My son DID do wonderful at school like you all hoped. I'm knocking on wood everywhere but it's been going great this first week!!!

I didn't finish either of the two projects I've been working on. But here's my started watercolor...I was using a magazine photo for the woman, but I wanted her to be a little more sad than the photo so I'm not trying to make her look like the picture, just using it for reference, same as my picture of the red flowers, I actually want them to be white, so that there's more contrast against the dark night.

Here's the start...
Here's my reference photos...
and here's the almost finished piece...

I also started a new needlefelted item that I've been thinking about ever since Spinster Beth@
http://spinsterbeth.blogspot.com/2011/09/oh-enough-already.html suggested I do ornaments like the necklace I started... so here's my started ornament... it needs some embroidery and a few felt petals in the middle still. I think it needs to be over the top, overdone, so maybe even a bead or two.

They take forever but at least I've gotten back at needlefelting! Hope to show you both finished next week plus I'll have to add in something new as there's so much more started from weeks ago!

On top of the usual paint party friday, crafty friday, creative friday, fiberart friday I just found a site: artists in blogland, and am linking up there. I'm putting their link on my sidebar so go check it out!

  21. i feel like a creep answering you on your blog, but i wasn't sure how to get back to you about unicorn v. zombies ... soooo

if you'd like to play and you want me to add you to the list -

you can do whatever you'd like to do to represent your team on that day.

I'll do artwork and maybe a door prize.

i think others are doing a post in honor of their "side"

    it's sort of anything goes.

You just holler back and let me know what address to link you in at and what your team is if you decide to do it, but really it's no pressure - you just do it your way :)

no matter what, i'll be tickled to have you play along.

    xx,
    amy
