So glad it's friday

Around here sleep, or the lack of goes in streaks, my son either sleeps great or sleeps only 4 hours or so a night. This week we got very little sleep... so I am a bit less alert than I could be as I write this... I'll talk less and add more photos to make up for it...

or maybe I will use other people's words... Spadoman had this to say last week, and I loved it...

"I love the rocks and stones. They are the Grandmothers and Grandfathers you know. They have been around for all time and have seen everything that mankind has done. They have all the wisdom we might desire. Hold them in your hand and ask them what you need to, they will answer. They will take your problems and troubles from you and carry them beyond the Star Nation. To have a reverence for the rocks is a good thing."

I love the contrast

of fine delicate white lines

on hard solid rock.

A couple people asked what I was using for paint... well I tried white  acrylic ink with a liner but ended up drawing with a white gel pen. They will need to be sealed but I haven't gotten that far yet.

And .....then I have some photos my mother took of some rocks stacked by Bill Peisher, a friend of ours. I knew he was stacking these in front of his house but whenever I would be by there they had been knocked down by kids. So until my mother took these photos I had no idea how amazing his stacking was...

My mother secretly, well secretly until she recently fessed up, left the crochet rock on his stone.

There will be more to come as I can't stop drawing on rocks...
