Some of my bad pages I keep in my book to learn from, but others , like the one I am not showing, o just dislike so much I don't want to see them. I don't like to rip pages out so my solution is to either cover them with scrap papers I have drawn on or paint over them with acrylic and sketch over that.
To get started again after that fail I did the "peace" page for fun.
And it has been good bonfire weather here. Just had to share my perfectly roasted mallow....
Happy paintpartyfriday!

Toasted Marshmallows. . .I can smell that very distinctive smell and taste that sweet, smoky flavor. . . Lucky you!! :) Love the paintings. I have a similar way of handling things I have made that don't quite work out. I stop when I realize they are not right and I hate to toss them so they sit, some in flower boxes or plants. Some on the work table hoping for salvation but, often, they end up cluttered closer and closer around my work area til I really DO need to just clean house and toss a few. In my case, they often seem like the Isle of Misfit Toys and it hurts, literally, to think of tossing them. As if I failed or rejected hem. :)

Lovely to see all your pieces.
ReplyDeleteI wish you great success with your next cover piece!
Roasting food over a fire sounds wonderful.
I love your colorful pages and the 'peace' lettering. What a neat idea to cover up work you hate. I think I have to employ that method, too, now that I am getting into mixed media, too.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful piece of flowers and poem. Suddenly reminded me about old memory books people used to swap and to write verses and draw and color a page in. I love the way you painted the word peace also.
