my little altar

I have a little spot next to my desk at work.
I don't call it an altar to the people who pass by when they question my stuff,
But I think that's what it is...

filled with tiny bits
collections, dreams and big thoughts
flotsam and jetsam

when I go out collecting, stuff ends up here...

sometimes I arrange it for photos...

sometimes I sketch it...

I bought that little wishing pot on vacation this summer at an artisan gallery, It had the best tag... I'd quote it but I lost it somewhere along the way. It listed all the things you could keep inside... stuff like secret wishes, imaginary toys, hopes and dreams, fairy dust,........ and I really wish I hadn't lost that tag.  The pot also came with a fortune inside that you couldn't read till you had purchased it, and it was only like $3.00 I think. A DEAL! I have added some secrets to it but there's still room for lots more....

Happy PPF & Haiku my heart!

  3. I too love the way you see things. The photographs of the mushrooms were wonderful. I am currently taking a photography class. This week the focus was on lines. Your work is a perfect illustration of what she was teaching. I hope some day that I can see not only the big picture but the tiny details as well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.

  4. Sweet stuff! Little altars everywhere is a good thing, I think. Little bits of things that bring you little joys. The sweet stuff.
