Illustration Friday submission for the theme of Surrender
I've actually done quite a few paintings that I thought fit this theme, but maybe this one the most.... She's surrendering to the current of the winds, to her own moods, to her dreams, to the possiblilty her dreams will fall, to the overwhelming forces of nature, and to life itself!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful color and meditative feel!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it odd that you have so many falling ladies, but for "surrender", this girl is standing up and joyful? Funny how things are sometimes :) Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWow she looks like Mother Nature herself! Great rainbow of colours! :0)

This interpretation of "surrender" has an interesting feel of forward motion; reaching out rather than submitting. Cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments, I love hearing them because sometimes it helps me understand what I paint more than as I do it...I think my take on surrender is to accept and allow rather than give up!

I like your take on surrender. The colors of your painting are beautiful and to me, it has a spiritual feel of letting things go.
