Day 7
This is MayFair Sanderson. She's legally blind as she can only see shades of light and dark. She gets around extremely well with her guide dog as she's been this way since birth. Her husband is the perfect man, and loves her to pieces. They met at a concert in the park, and still go every wednesday each summer. Her hobbies are knitting and reading, and swimming in waterfalls!

day let's see 6...
I'm late for the Butterfly effect's party of heros yet I quickly sketched a hero today in the last page of my sketchbook, which means....
I get to start a new one!!!!! yeah, that's always so exciting!!!
well, to me it's exciting, not like winning the lottery or even $20.00 on a scratch off, which of course you have to buy to win and I don't generally buy them,.... actually starting a new sketchbook is about the same excitment level as winning $20.00. wouldn't you agree? maybe not.
so now I'm thinking about levels of excitement... maybe not as exciting as having a baby or getting married but about as exciting as having a sale on etsy, I just love that! ....and as exciting as finding a dollar on the street, or passing a test with a top score or getting art in the mail, or realizing you still have a candy bar in your purse, or painting your nails a bright color, or watching your kids open presents.... OK that one might be more exciting than a new journal/sketchbook. But how about having someone compliment you in any way, or seeing toddlers hug, or knowing you have an hour to yourself to do as you please! all pretty exciting wouldn't you say?
So.... I totally got sidetracked, I was talking about hero's. Here's the questions that went with the theme at the Butterfly Effect and my answers...
1. What Super Power would you posses?
Flying, I love to dream about flying! (very Exciting)
2. What's your costume of choice?
Just a cape, maybe in purple. And a crown and maybe sometimes a mask, also purple.
3. Do you have/want a sidekick?
A skunk named Bonnie Blue, wait wasn't that Scarlet's daughter's name? I'm not sure.
4. What's your weakness?
Chocolate flavored Kryptonite
5. You a lover or a loner?
A loner, no wait, both.
6. Do you have a secret identity/ordinary life to juggle?
Don't we all?
7. Being a hero can make you enemies - who's/what's yours?
The dastardly evil villians who don't pay their child support, as that's my dayjob.
8. What's your motto or catchphrase?
Be brave, be bold, be happy anyway!
so if you leave me a comment and please do....tell me what excites you today....
let's see I need to link to Butterfly effect even though I'm late, and to Sunday Sketches. See you tomorow with another face!

Face 5, mondays child is fair of face!
Please meet Blaire Blankenship, Whisper's mother. She's been a model and an author for years and has even made it to the cover of a magazine that has one of her articles published in it! She writes parenting and selfhelp articles. She believes her greatest accomplishment is having Whisper! The two of them love to sing and dance to 60's music in the evenings after a dinner in their apartment of take out sushi and icecream with creme de menthe on it for dessert.
I am also linking to Inspiration avenue as their theme this week was to illustrate the saying for the day of the week you were born on. I am a monday's child, like Blaire.
And as it fits, it is my fifth face of 29 faces in May!

Day 4. Face 4
Technically there's 2 faces here but we just won't worry about that. This is my latest mandala inspired by the prompt for the Artist's Play Room, which was light and dark. I always seem to paint light and colorful so I thought I needed to show a little dark. I have just recently discovered how much I like Payne's gray so I did this whole Mandala in Payne's gray. I think it's going to be addicting for me. It's still not dark and forboding or anything but for me this is definately a switch.
And since there's faces in it I'm counting it for Face 4 of the 29 Faces challenge at Ayala Art. If you haven't been following me you can go there to see everyone that has joined in and we're trying to do a face a day for 29 of the days this month!
And since I needed to throw just a few more blogs into this, there's a Haiku for Haiku my heart! and I am also linking to Paint Party Friday of course!!! Happy Friday Everyone!

Emptiness in gray
There for all to see in gray
Nothing in my hands

Day 3, Face 3
Please meet Whisper Friedland. Like her name, she's learned to be quiet and almost unnoticable. She's fairly average in every way, she has the large nose of her father, and unfortunately none of the willowy beauty of her mother. She is occasionally is a bit sad about this but for the most part she's more confidant than her prettier friends. She wants to develop a pair of eye glasses that changes the way people think about glasses, making them light and comfortable and beautiful. She doesn't believe contacts are good for your eyes. She 's already written an article about their dangers that has been published in a respectable magazine. Maybe soon you can meet her mother....

Day 2, Face 2
This was sketched in court while sitting in the back. I usually have to sit through a few trials while waiting for the one I'm there for during work to come up, so it gives me time to sketch and watch the attorneys and the guards. It keeps me occupied...... See you tomorow!

Day 1! Face 1!
I have joined in again at AyalaArt for her 29 faces part 2! I'm going to try real hard to keep up with them but I already feel behind about it. This is a face from the sketchbook I worked in on the last post. I'm thinking I'll mostly have ACEO's again as they're so quick but I'm sure some faces will show up in my sketchbook. Plus this will give me a chance to write their stories again and tell you all about the Secret Dream Skirt Society! Most of the faces I painted last time were members and I never got around to telling you what it was all about.... There's always tomorow!
