Newfield Covered bridge

When I drive to my oldest daughter's apartment about 2 hours from where we live, there's a town we pass through with a covered bridge. It was, according to the sign, built in 1853 and is the oldest covered bridge in daily use.
You can DRIVE through it!
Now usually the people I am with, (my other kids) do not especially care about this.
 I find it incredible!!!!
So I go about 2 minutes out of my way to stop,
 take photos,
then drive through,
turn around,
and drive back through.
Usually this is to the moans and groans of the people in the car.
This trip, as my other daughter needed a cigarette break,
(I know, terrible habit and she's trying to quit)
she and my son allowed me to do this in good cheer.

  2. Ah what fun!! There used to be a covered bridge by the docks where I lived, it was a tiny little thing and only used for people to walk from the car park to the shopping bit but I LOVED it! It was the best thing ever to me and i'd make my dad come with me rather than go over the boring old normal bridge haha!
